Polyurethane Facts

Polar Foam Pf-7300-0 Soya is being used by architects to design buildings that are attractive and comfortable for the occupants, inexpensive to operate and maintain and remain so for the life of the building.

Polar Foam Pf-7300-0 Soya insulating foam solves building insulation design problems for architects, because it combines proven thermal protection while also offering superior air barrier properties.

Ideal for New or Retrofit Construction

Polar Foam Pf-7300-0 Soya is a sprayed applied cellular plastic that forms a continuous, monolithic barrier on walls, around corners, and on all contoured surfaces, and protrusions. It adheres directly to the substrate forming a seamless permanent coverage over and around even the most difficult shapes. The Polar Foam Pf-7300-0 Soya is ideal for insulation either new or retrofit construction projects.

Due to its fast installation, Polar Foam Pf-7300-0 Soya decreases the costs of your construction costs while increasing the energy efficiency of your building envelope. The installation of 75mm of Polar Foam Pf-7300-0 Soya on the exterior side of walls can reduce up to 50% the energy consumption for heating or cooling purposes and increases the occupant comfort.

Energy efficient insulating material with highest R-value rating

POLARFOAM 7300 spray applied foam insulation has one of the highest R-Values per inch of any insulating material available. It eliminates heat loss through cracks, gaps, seams and joints. Energy costs are reduced and building comfort is enhanced.

Effective Air Barrier

The National Building Code requires an air barrier for all new construction. POLARFOAM 7300 insulation material exceeds the requirements of a Type lll air barrier as proposed by the National Research Council of Canada.

Cost effective one-step application process

POLARFOAM 7300 urethane foam is applied on the construction site, in a single, cost effective step by licensed applicators across Canada. It flows into cracks and joints, and around protusions, like brick ties forming a continuous insulating barrier. The applied cost of POLARFOAM 7300 insulation is lower than for separately applied insulation and sheet good materials. Labour cost are reduced since no extra steps are required to caulk or seal openings.

Easy to apply on site

Confined work areas and unusual surface shapes are no challenge for POLARFOAM 7300 foam. Its ease of application makes POLARFOAM 7300 insulation the perfect choice for airsealing work in attics, crawl spaces or other hard to reach areas.

    Why Spray Foam

Foam is spray applied as a liquid and expands as a foam so it fills every single nook, cranny, crevice, hole, crack, and gap making a perfect air-tight seal every time, regardless of complex framing.

Foam has a "Real World" R-Value that is uncompromised by external forces like temperature and wind. Fiber Insulations such as Fiberglass (batt) and Cellulose merely slow down convection which accounts for 80% of heat loss. As the temperature drops, convection currents speed up and Fiber Insulations lose their effectiveness. Foam on the other hand stops convection. Wind is not a factor either for Foam due to its continuous air-tight seal.
